The Reef Diving Club offers divers a variety of activities year round.

Refreshers Course:
For divers that haven’t dived for 6 months or more, refresher diving’s take place every day of the week. We will go over all the basic diving rules in theory and under the water.
Fun Diving:
Dives for certified divers take place on all days of the to different diving sites in the Mediterranean Sea: Apollonian Reef and Sydney Alley (6-8 meters), The Cave reef (12 meters), The Sharon reef (16 meters), the sunken ship “Ze’ev hayam” – off the shores of Yaffo (30 meters) and more.
You are welcome to join us diving all days of the week, must schedule ahead of time.
Diving insurance:
You can renew your diving insurance at the club, by phone or internet within a matter of minutes.
Renting diving equipment:
You can rent diving equipment at the club for a day of diving or for extended periods of time – the equipment is professional, of high quality and rented at convenient prices.
Diving Shop and Repair Lab:
The clubs shop sells diving equipment of the leading companies in the field: Mares, Suunto, Sepa.
We also take in equipment for repair and periodic check ups of all the leading diving brand names.
Introductory Diving:
For those of you who have not yet enjoyed the world of diving, you are welcome to join us to the beginning of a wonderful friendship – a private introductory dive with the instruction of an experienced and professional instructor. An experience that will leave you wanting more…
The dives take place during all days of the week. Suitable for children as well (from age 6).
Diving Safari in Eilat:
The Reef Diving and Surfing Club goes to Eilat…Once in every two weeks we go diving in the most beautiful diving sites in Eilat during the weekend. The sites we will be diving in: The University, Neptune’s Tables, the Sunken Ships, the Sat”il (battle ship) the Fly and top it off at the end with the Cave. Suitable for divers of all levels, and a two star course can take place during the weekend. Family members that have never gone diving can come along for an introductory dive. All the dives are done with the our instructors from the club.
Advanced Courses:
Different courses on subjects such as: Nitrox ( a mixture of air enriched with oxygen), rescuing, Dive Master, instruction courses. Full details on these courses can be found throughout the site.
Diving Safari at Sharm A-Sheych:
A safari that takes place on a yacht to the area of Sharm A-Sheych to the most beautiful diving site in the world. Full details can be found throughout the site.

Diving Safari:
During the three days of Safari we will dive in the area of Ras-Muhamad, Shab-Mahmud and Shab-Ali – the Motorcycle Ship – The Thistelgorm.
On the fourth day of the Safari we will dive in the area of the Tiran Straits.
On every Safari, the diving plan is decided as we sail, according to conditions of visibility, wind and the state of the sea.
Also, we will be glad to dive in your favorite diving sites at your request.

The Safari Plan:
Before going on the Safari, all the participants will meet with the instructor at the Reef Diving club in order to go over become acquainted and go over the plan.
The meeting of the group will take place at the border – on the Israeli side, there the instructor with whom we cross the border with will be waiting. On the Egyptian side there will be an air conditioned vehicle waiting to take the us to the ship at Sharm.

From here on, quite, sea, amazing sunsets, incredible meals and of course – diving!
Unfortunately, every good thing comes to an end – getting off the ship, driving back to the border with organized transportation, crossing the border and home …

Extras:
On the ship you will be provided with all the food, soft drinks, hot drinks and mineral water you can get. We recommend you bring snacks and stuff (beer, wine, backgammon or any other thing you can think of that can make the cruise even more fun).

Getting a Visa takes about 21 days, therefore we recommend to start the process ahead of time. Make sure that your passport is valid for 6 months at least and that you have at least 2 empty pages in your passport.

1+2 Stars Course:

1 Star Diving Course:
A basic course that takes about 5 days, 6 hours each session.
During this course participants will have both theoretical and practical diving lessons, which take place first of all in the Dan Accadia Hotel pool and then in the sea – getting out to the proper depth is done in our diving boat.
Theoretical material is taught every day and at the end of the course there is a test on what you have learnt.
Certification – finishing the course successfully grants you an international license and diving certificate until 20 meters depth with a partner that is 2 Stars certified or higher. Registration is from age 12 and up.
2 Star Diving Course:
An advanced course that takes about 2 days, 6 hours each session. During this xourse you will gain much more experience in diving (rescuing, navigation, depth and more) and vast knowledge on the surroundings and life under water.
Certification – finishing the course successfully grants an international diving license to a depth of 30 meters maximum.

At the end of the course according to Israeli Diving Law each diver must complete 20 instructed dives before he is aloud to dive without an instructor (6 of those 20 are done during the 1 Star course and 5 more are done during the 2 Star course).
Nitrox Course:                                                                                           *extra fee required
Diving with a mixture of air enriched with oxygen, more on this subject is taught to participants during the course.
1 Star in Herzlyia – 2 Star in Eilat Combined Diving Course*:
The Reef Diving Club offers you the option of finishing your course in Eilat on the last weekend of the course. Combining a course in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea both  rises the level of diving and the joy ability of participants and combines dives in shallow water in the clubs pool, to dives in reefs in the Mediterranean Sea and goes on to dives in the most attractive diving sites in Eilat, and all this throughout the course.   
Requirments:
- 1 Star – age 12 and up on the opening day of the course. 2 Stars – age 15 and up on the opening day of the course.
- Under age 18 parents authorization required.
- Health: Health statement required – examination by a Diving Doctor if required.
The courses can be done day after day during weekdays starting on a Sunday for an entire week (morning hours) or on weekends (Friday-Saturday) taking several weeks.
During the course each participant will get full diving equipment.
We recommend you bring a personal diving mask.
The Reef Diving Club is certified by PADI, CMAS, BSAC organizations and grants certificates by them.

Advanced Diving Courses:
Rescuing Course:
During this course participants will learn how to handle any extreme situation in and out of the water in order to help themselves and other divers if they find themselves in distress for any reason.
You will learn how to surface a fellow diver, get him to shore/a boat and perform CPR.
It is our duty as divers to go through this course so we can be ready for any situation, to know how to avoid extreme situations, and at a time of distress to know how to perform properly in order to avoid a diving accident.
Since this course is so thorough and enriching, it acts as an “accelerator” for beginning divers – it cancels the 20 mandatory dives required after the 2 Star course.
Duration of course – 2 days, each session is about 5 hours long and is compiled of practical experience and theoretical lessons.
At the end of the course divers will receive a Rescue Diver diving certificate by PADI/CMAS.
This course is part of the Dive Master course.
Requirments:
Must be a diver of any level and dived in the past 6 months (if required, a refreshers dive) and valid diving insurance (can be renewed at the club).
Nitrox Course:
What is Nitrox?
Nitrox is a mixture of air enriched with oxygen which gives us, as divers, many advantages: Longer time at the bottom while diving, less exposure to the disease of decompression, a safer mixture for diving and a highly refreshing feeling once the dive is over. In short – it is better and safer to dive with Nitrox!!!
The course includes a theoretical session that lasts about 4 hours which at the end of there will be a theoretical test on all the material studied.
At the end of the course you will receive a Nitrox Diving Certificate for any mixture up to 40% by the BSAC organization.

Dive Master Diving Course:
This is the most senior level of diving in amateur diving. In the modern age of diving many divers won’t stop at the basic diving courses, rather move on to more advanced courses in order to enrich their knowledge and experience in diving. Dive Master Diving Course is made for divers that are interested in expanding their diving knowledge, feeling more confident in the water, help their partners if needed and advance in their diving level. Dive Master is the main stage on the way to instructing diving.
At the end of the course graduates go on to be a part of diving clubs activities in the country and over seas as group leaders.
We offer all courses beyond until the level of being an instructor. As senior divers course graduates enjoy special discounts in purchasing diving equipment.

The course is dived into 3 parts:

  • Rescue Diving (2 days) – rescuing course. Expands both theoretical and practical knowledge in all kinds of rescuing.
  • Medic First Aid (1 day) – theoretical course only. Deals with First Aid, First Aid equipment, CPR, Diving diseases and accidents

 

  • Dive Master (6 days) – mandatory subjects:

-Leading a group of divers.                                              -Underwater navigation, sea map.
-Depth diving.                                                   -Diving equipment – taking care and repair.
-Planning a dive according to charts.                   -Basic seamanship and weather prediction.
-Diving in bad health or at night + navigation. -Diving from a boat – organizing and performing.
-Scanning and buoyancy.
Duration of course – 10 days, usually on weekends.

Requirements:                                                                                                                

  • Age 16 on the opening day of the course.
  • 2 Star certificate.
  • Organized and signed log book.
  • Health statement required – examination by a Diving Doctor if required.
  • 20 documented and signed dives.
  • Passing ability tests.

 

Entry Exams:

  • Theoretical exam at a 2 Star diving level.
  • Practical exam:
  • Swimming 370 meters in less than 10 minutes.
  • Leveling for 15 minutes in the water – last 2 minutes with hands out of the water.
  • Dragging a fellow diver in the water with full gear for 90 meters.
  • Swimming with fins 730 meters in less than 17 minutes.
  • Free diving to 9 meters depth.

Equipment:
The course does not include equipment, except for weights and oxygen tank.
